Soviet Panther 366 Self Propelled Artillery Regiment

 This specific vehicle wascaptured by Soviet forces and used againts its previous owners in a unit composed of smilar captured vehicles. They remained in original German camouflage, but their crosses were overpainted in 4BO green (or black?),along with outer row of wheels, with large red stars painted, which inspired me to model this late G in Soviet clothes.

The old Revell 1/72 kit was a bit altered as meshes were added and side skirt's holders were scratchbuit as damaged. As with any other captured item, this one also lacks equipment, so i portrayed empty racks and tool stowages. Additional antenna mount was added as shown in the picture above.

T64AK

 I have acquired T64A, a Trumpeters' first model in a series that followed. As this tank was perceived as "state of the art" at his time, it was not exported and only certain guards units were equipped with it. Until recent conflict in Ukraine, this vehicle saw no (or limited - Transistria in 1992 and Congo in 2017) combat. 

So, a lookup for pictures of this tank in Ukrainian conflict ensued, and proved to be a hard target, as the bulk of T64 were T64B and most of them used ERA blocks. Only a handful of pics revealed this early type used, and from there on i followd those pics:

Trumpeter's T64A model 1972 offered several parts needed to update the kit to represent the vehicle "Masenjka".

Add-ons included sideskirts (acquired from fellow modellers), smokegrenades (few scratchbuilt), new wires on the turret, different right sponsoon fuel compartment (from model 1981 kit, vailable in the box). Several grabhandles were rearanged on the turret, added another box and spare tracks.
